Israeli fine art in the collection of the Odessa Roerich House Museum
On March 2020, the collection of the Odessa Roerich House Museum was replenished with the works of Israeli artist Anatoly Metla. Previously, the works were in the personal collection of the Doctor of Philology Galina Podolskaya and were donated to the Museum. The collection presents 23 sketches of the artist, painted between 1996 and 2012. Galina Podolskaya also prepared a catalog of the collection, accompanying it with extensive material about the artist and his works. The catalog was published in the series «Israeli Fine Art in Museum Collections». For many years, Galina Podolskaya has been building cultural bridges between the artists of Israel and Ukraine, her inexhaustible enthusiasm and efforts replenished the collections of Ukrainian museums with the works of Israeli artists. Thanks to Galina Podolskaya, Odessa Roerich House Museum became one of the largest collectors of Israeli artists.
