Anatoly Metla was born in 1964 in Yalta. After graduating from the Art and Graphics department of the Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical Institute and military service, he worked as a drawing teacher at a secondary school in Chernivtsi. Anatoly Metla is a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Since 1995, Anatoly Metla has been living in Israel, working for one of the largest galleries in Tel Aviv with branches in Miami, representing the artist’s work in Canada, the USA, France, and Germany. Anatoly Metla — one of the most dynamic artists in Israel, holder of the «Golden Brush of Ashdod» diploma and the Badge of Honor «For outstanding achievements in art». His range of activities includes many exhibition projects in the galleries of Atlanta, New Jersey (USA), Turkey, Spain, China, Singapore, Finland, Korea, Hong Kong, India, and the Philippines. He also works at seasonal exhibitions and fairs in Florida.
Currently, museums in Odessa, Chernivtsi, Kiev, Kharkov, Chernigov, Ternopol, Cherkassy, Uman, Nikolaev, Kherson, Berdyansk, Melitopol have more than sixty watercolors and paintings by Anatoly Metla. It is noteworthy that in the style of the Israeli artist there is something from the South Ukrainian school of painting, soaked with the milk of maternal culture. Anatoly Metla belongs to cultures both of Israel and Ukraine, his League of Creativity strikes with deep interconnections between the cultures. The artist’s works are filled with his life feeling and inspiration, they are easy and natural. The graphic and artistry harmoniously complement each other. Everything that becomes the object of the artist’s image — regardless of the view, material, and technique, is made in such a way that, it becomes artistically significant.
