On January 26 of 2021, in the Odessa Roerich House Museum, will open a photo exhibition «Colors of India». The opening of the exhibition is dedicated to the Day of the Republic of India. One year ago, on January 26, 2020, the Republic of India celebrated the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution, and 2020 was a jubilee year for the Ukraine-India Society. The exhibition has been traveling around Ukraine for a year, it has been seen by residents of Kyiv, Poltava, Lviv, Dnipro, now «Colors of India» has visited Odessa. The exhibition presents photographs by Indian and Ukrainian photographers: Kapeesh Gaur (India, Delhi); Painter Yuriy Kamyshny, who lives in Zhytomyr; Kyiv photographer Hennadiy Kravets. The author of the idea of the photo exhibition is Alina Solnyshkina, candidate of sociological sciences, member of the Ukraine-India Society from Dnipro.
- The exhibition will be opened by performers of the Indian dance group «Mitra», founded in 2011 in Odessa, winners of international competitions, at one of which they received a special diploma of gratitude for the development of Indian culture in Ukraine from the Ambassador of India. Five dances will be performed by: Alina Goray, Yevhenia Gulta, Oleksandra Ananchenko, Iryna Yarozenchuk, and young dancers: Vladyslava Ostapenko, Maria Yarozenchuk, Sofia Romanenko.
- Elena Petreno, director of the Odessa Roerich House Museum, will make a welcoming speech.
- Alina Solnyshkina, the author of the idea of the exhibition, a member of the Ukraine-India Society, a candidate of sociological sciences, a teacher at the Industrial College in Dnipro, will tell about the exhibition.
The exhibition will last until March 5, 2021.
