The book «Painting of N. K. Roerich «The Messenger» by Natalya Porozhnyakova, Ph. D. Art History, Head of Department of Science of the Odessa Roerich House Museum is the first book in series «Paintings of N. K. Roerich.» The book is dedicated to the artist’s examination work (1897) and timed to the 65th anniversary of his memory. The book features the correspondence of N. K. Roerich about the «Messenger» with V. V. Stasov; the artist’s memories of his painting; the concept of the «Messenger» given in the books of the Living Ethics Teaching, as well as the judgments and studies of art historians and contemporaries of N. K. Roerich about the «Messenger.»
