The epistolary heritage of Nicholas Roerich. Issue I

The first time a letter by Nicholas Roerich to Joseph Earl Schrack — an American artist, a co-worker who headed the Academy of Creative Arts at the Nicholas Roerich Museum in New York, was published. The letter, dated October 20, 1931, was written by Nicholas Roerich in English, and sent from Naggar, Kullu, Punjab, British India, to the Academy of Creative Arts. The letter is in possession of the Odessa Roerich House Museum, and the museum’s staff did its translation into Russian. The introductory article, “The Every Instant of His Life Was Creative,” by the director of Odessa Roerich House Museum Ms. Helena Petrenko. The article is dedicated to the history of the cooperation of Nicholas Roerich with Americans, in particular, with the American artist Joseph Earl Schrack. The publication opens a new series, “The Roerichs’ Family Heritage.” Limited gift edition — 100 copies printed.
